This day of the year my Darling is so hard to
bear, it’s the day I had to let you go to be in
Gods’ care. Remembering you is easy,
I do it every day, but losing you was a
heartache never to go away. No longer can I see
you, nor hear you speak my name, but I know
you walk beside me, to guide me just the same.
Time may conceal my sorrow, but my Darling
without your love, there is no tomorrow.
A silent prayer each day to keep in touch, for I
long and love you oh so very much. Death does
not divide us, in the quiet of my heart I’ll be

We’ll miss you so much Grandad, that twinkle
in your eye, your silly sense of humour, it’s hard
