LAKE Cecilia Powell It is with great sorrow we announce the death of Cecilia Lake, peacefully at Morriston Hospital, Swansea aged 91 years, loving wife of the late Canon Rev. David Lake for 63 years and treasured mother of David and Robert, mother-in-law Elizabeth and Linda, Danda to Kathryn, David, Benjamin, Thomas, Edward, Samuel, Isaac, Grace and Elsa. After a background in nursing before and during the second war, on marriage, she became a tireless and devoted worker for the Church in Wales, leading the Mother's Union and Girl's Friendly Society in the parishes in which her husband served. She brought up her family with identical commitment. The words from the Bible that fit her passing are "Well done thou good and faithful servant". Service and committal at 2.30pm on Friday Feb 29 2008 at the Margam Crematorium, a service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Cynog's, Ystradgynlais on Sunday June 1 2008 at 10am.
