Report this message By Andrew Lyburn on 20th Jul 2010I am writing to say my last goodbye to my wonderful grandmother Mame. You will be missed by all the family; however the memories you leave behind will be alive for many more years to come. We will miss our“Hostess with the Mostess”, you had culinary skills that would put any chef to shame. We will miss the butterfly kisses and ringing the bell for dinner. You were the most unselfish person I have ever met, always putting others before yourself. When we were little we used to come and stay with you and Papa, you would take us to the punch and Judie shows on the sea front and take us to tennis, sorry for hitting the tennis balls over the fence!! Sorry that we were not at your memorial service, but we were there in Spirit, we were watching a video of you showing the kids the talking parrot and eating our smoked salmon sandwiches and chocolate cake here in Oman.I am glad that we got to see you before we left for Oman, i had a feeling that when we said goodbye it would be for the last time. It was an honour that Jack and Mackenzie got to meet their Great Grandmother.God bless and rest in peace, goodbye Mame lots of love, Drew Cathie Jack & Mackenzie xxxx
