When I think back to all of the times we shared, the main memories that pop in my mind are how much you made me and everyone around you laugh. You could change the mood in any room to make it joyful, happy and just a pleasure to be in your company. For everything I have learnt from you as well as all of the amazing experiences we shared I am extremely grateful as well as being proud to say you were a brilliant grandad. The best storyteller, because when you were my age like you said, you always had something to laugh about and thats what makes me smile thinking of you today. Kind, thoughtful, generous, I could keep going.

Dad, I am trying not to be sad because I can't see you today but happy that I had a wonderful Father who showed me nothing but love. I can't remember anything but good things between us. You always helped me and never judged when my imperfections surfaced. I hope I can be somewhere near as good a Dad to the boys as you were to me.
